PWC

Selling a personal watercraft privately

A PWC still needs a bill of sale and, when it is powered as licensed, a Pleasure Craft Licence transfer. The HIN is on the hull.

Small boat, same proof of ownership

Personal watercraft are pleasure craft. The bill of sale should still name the seller and buyer, and identify the craft by make, model, colour, HIN and licence number when it has one.

Check the HIN on the hull against the papers, note the engine hours, and look at the hull and pump for damage. If a trailer is included, transfer that trailer provincially. The operator card of the rider is separate from the craft's licence.

The free download covers the proof-of-ownership fields. The full kit adds the walk-through and both signatures.
